The Office Has Expanded

Employees today are working from the kitchen table and in shared workspaces as much as they are from the conference room. And the new hybrid workforce is here to stay — many organizations expect expanded work-from-home policies to remain in place long-term or permanently. The mobility inherent in such a flexible work-from-anywhere environment makes work easier for most, but raises new challenges for IT teams: end users are not only operating from everywhere, but on a variety of systems — with some working on home Wi-Fi networks, VPNs, and on mobile PCs.

Traditional methods of monitoring the employee digital experience can’t keep up with the thousands of endpoints and applications companies need to run. To help IT teams monitor, manage, and support end-user devices no matter where they are, Intel has partnered with Aternity, a world-class leader in Digital Experience Management (DEM). The Aternity DEM solution offers deep insights into employee experience, correlated with the performance and health of the devices and applications that affect it. Intel vPro® platform integration allows IT teams to leverage hardware-based remote management through Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant's (Intel® EMA) secure, remote cloud software right from the Aternity dashboard, making proactive fleet manageability even easier.

This collaboration gives IT departments powerful remote manageability tools all in one streamlined dashboard, helping them to better inform remediation, drive down costs, and improve productivity.

Intel + Aternity: Better Together, Better for End Users

As the flexibility of the remote workplace continues to expand, IT teams will continue to face challenges. Intel and Aternity are collaborating to help them more accurately measure the end user experience and proactively predict and prevent disruptions. This collaboration taps into new data sources that yield fresh, actionable insights to improve the digital experience for end users. Our proactive approach to fleet management paves the way for a more productive workforce, remote or not. Benefits for IT teams include proactive identification of end user issues, improvement of device performance without user involvement, the ability to update the device OS without interrupting productivity, and the discovery and management of OS-level issues and unresponsive systems.

How does it work? Aternity DEM collects and analyzes data from across your fleet, detecting and understanding the impact and root causes. Intel® EMA provides a secure remote connection that enables IT to manage Intel vPro® platform-based devices. The integration between Aternity and Intel® EMA enables IT service desk agents to troubleshoot and resolve employee device or software issues directly from the Aternity dashboard, even if the device is powered off or has an unresponsive operating system. This enables IT teams to cut incident resolution time by up to half.1 Employee experience insights provided by Aternity can clearly show the value of software and hardware changes — information crucial to multiple IT team decision makers.

Today’s global, increasingly mobile workforce makes visibility crucial for innovating and optimizing operations. With Intel’s engineering expertise and Aternity’s groundbreaking DEM platform continuing to work together, IT teams gain a truly complete view of the digital experience and health of endpoints.
